Hundreds of festival-goers partied the day away at the weekend in memory of much-loved young man.

The Big Bear Fest, which is held in memory of Sam Bearman, attracted more than 400 people to the Cherry Tree Inn, in Belchamp St Paul, on Saturday.

Well-established tribute bands the Antarctic Monkeys and Oasis Forever, as well as local acts, The Jellycats, Intuition and The AMs, took to the stage to entertain the crowd.

The former Alec Hunter Humanities College pupil died of meningitis on January 6 last year, aged 24, and the Bear Fest was the second festival to be held in his memory.
