Yobs daubed racist, homophobic and offensive graffiti throughout a village in the latest bout of anti-social behaviour.

In the past few weeks Great Notley residents have seen a spate of vandalism including graffiti, smashed school windows and two small fires at Notley Green Primary School.

The latest attack last Wednesday saw homophobic, racist and offensive language spraypainted across the windows of Fusion takeaway in Bridge End Lane and nearby homes.

Fusion co-owner Henry Cheung said: “I wouldn’t have thought this would happen in that sort of area.

“It is very upsetting really to have something like that happen to us.

“I hope it is just a one off.

“It is bad for the neighbourhood.”

LOL I am not allowed to use the word "f a g g o t" in the comments yet they print the picture with the word clearly visible in it.

On top of which, how do you delineate the usage when there are five different meanings?
i) wood used as kindling;
ii) a meat, rissole-type dish in the Midlands;
iii) a first-year college student at a private (public) school;
iv) a cigarette
v) a gay guy.

I suppose I can't say queer anymore - even though some of my gay friends proudly proclaim themselves as "queer".

Political correctness, eh?

Whilst I detest any form of graffiti, why is it reported that racist graffiti was spraypainted across the takeaway when it is clear to see the biggest word is a homophobic word...does the word 'racist' sell more papers? or does the B+W Times think a racist word is far worse than a Homophobic word? Surely they are as bad as one another.
