A driver was assaulted in a road rage incident.

A man jumped out in front of the victim’s car as he was driving in Twelve Acres in Braintree.

He swore at the victim about his speed and struck him in the face but did not injure him.

The suspect then threw something at the victim’s car, causing £250 of damage.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact 101.

While not condoning the man’s action I can empathise with him as to many drivers drive past our houses much to fast we need a maximum 20 MPH speed limits on our estates and especially Twelve Acres
The Police must act to stop this speeding that will end up in a fatality.

Totally agree with the above comment & while we're at it people should stop parking their cars out on the main Twelve Acres road when they have parking spaces out the back of their houses. It's especially dangerous when they're parked right on top of the Tesco Roundabout & you have to go on the wrong side of the road to get past them.

The parking on the whole of the CLay Pits, Lammas Drive, Twelve Acres area is a joke. EVERYONE on the development has a parking place and a garage, but no one can be bothered to use them. If you could just walk a few yeards instead of claiming the area in front of your house as your own by rights the whole area will be a lot safer for children. You will all feel guilty when a child is injured or worse because of inconsiderate parking!
