Braintree: Missing teenager found safe Braintree: Missing teenager found safe

A missing schoolgirl has been found safe and well in London.

Worried parents Alan Joynt and wife Aldiana Maulidia yesterday appealed for daughter Luthfia Almanda to come home after the teenager went missing on Thursday.

The couple had last seen their daughter, known as Fia, on Wednesday night.

She had asked their permission to spend the following day with her friends in Braintree and left the house before Mr Joynt and his wife woke up.

Fia, 14, had been in touch with her mother until about 3pm, when she said she would be home by 5pm.

But it was later discovered the Alec Hunter Humanities College pupil had not been with the girls she claimed to have seen.

Stepfather Mr Joynt, of Brownrigg Drive, Bocking, said it was believed she had created a cover story in order to meet a boyfriend he and his wife knew nothing about.

An Essex Police spokesman today confirmed that Fia had been found safe and well in London last night.
