Witham: Mum reunited with daughter she gave up for adoption

When Brenda Syrett got home after work on what seemed like an ordinary day, she could never have imagined what was waiting for her.
Five months earlier, her daughter Bridget Eyles, who was adopted in the 1970s, applied to participate in a programme about people looking for their relatives.
A few months later, Bridget discovered her story had been picked out of thousands and that she was going to appear on ITV’s Long Lost Family, presented by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell.
Unbeknown to Brenda, her daughter had been searching for her for at least ten years.
