Braintree: Passenger group question operator's rail figures
A passenger group has questioned Greater Anglia’s performance figures for last month.
The rail franchise announced it achieved its best train performance figures for any four week period.
The statistics, which are compiled by Network Rail, show 94.56% of trains were on time in the four weeks up until July 21.
However David Bigg, chairman of the Witham and Braintree Rail Users’ Association, claims their own independent figures for the same period show just 89.4% of services ran to schedule.
