Braintree: Power cut affects High Street

Businesses and residents in Braintree High Street suffered a power cut on Saturday.
Although power was quickly restored to most properties, two had problems until the early hours of Sunday.
A UK Power Networks spokesman said: “Power was interrupted at 3.55pm due to a fault on an underground cable.
“Our engineers worked as quickly as was safely possible to repair the fault and both customers had their supplies returned to normal by 2am on Sunday.
“We realise how frustrating it can be to be without power and apologise for any inconvenience.”
