Braintree: Youngsters enjoy Olympic sports day
Youngsters had a blast at an Olympic sports day held to celebrate the 2012 Games.
Patricia Pilgrim Nursery, near Great Dunmow, invited parents to the event, which began with a torch relay around the nursery grounds.
Children then took part in various Olympic themed activities, which included throwing the discus, a standing long jump, javelin, and sprint and hurdles.
The day ended with a picnic and the winning children from three age groups being presented with their gold, silver or bronze medal while they stood on the podium.
