Braintree: Teens' artwork to appear in Olympic and Paralympic Villages
12:00pm Saturday 21st July 2012 in News
Athletes staying in the Olympic and Paralympic villages will admire artwork created by Braintree teenagers.
Images created by James Cook, 15, Fraser Ingram, 17, and Liam Eyles, 16 - who all study at Notley High School and Braintree Sixth Form - were selected to decorate the accommodation.
Fifteen pupils and students were chosen to work with professional artists and photographers and took inspiration from their local communities.
Antony Cunningham, deputy head of PE, said although the three boys were chosen for the school’s submission, all the teenagers had produced very good work. “It will be nice to take them to see their work,” he said.
Notley High School and Braintree Sixth Form are part of the Get Set network, the official London 2012 education programme for schools and colleges.
