Braintree: Family of five generations

Braintree: Family of five generations Braintree: Family of five generations

It’s not often that five generations of one family can get together.

And Paula Seaborn, a 43-year-old grandmother, admits it takes a lot of planning.

Mrs Seaborn, a mum-of-five, said whenever her oldest daughter Louise Horne, 22, of School Road, Silver End, comes over with baby Jaden, they try to pay a visit to her family.

“When my daughter comes over with her baby, we get over to see my nan,” she said.

Ivy Page, 86, who was born in Derby and later moved to Bartram Avenue, Braintree, is a great-great-grandmother, while her daughter - 63-year-old Mary Newman, of Saunders Avenue - is enjoying being a great-grandmother to the ten-month-old.

Mrs Seaborn, 43, of Wheatley Avenue, has four other children - Naomi, 18, Stephanie, 13, Timothy, 12, and Harry, 5.

She said she loves being a grandmother.

“It’s a lovely experience,” she added.
