A car mad schoolboy will be brushing shoulders with Formula One’s top drivers.

Toby Brooks, 11, will be one of Bernie Ecclestone’s VIP guests at the Santander British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Saturday.

The youngster, who was born with a rare genetic disorder called Hurler's Syndrome, will join other patients from Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to see qualifying laps and meet the drivers and technicians.

Mum Teresa Wall, of Anson Way, Braintree, said: “Toby has been car mad since he was two, he loves watching F1."
