Disabled drivers now have longer to use their expired blue badges.
Disabled drivers now have longer to use their expired blue badges.
An amnesty for those with badges that expired on or after April 1 has been extended until the end of July.
It means drivers can use their expired badge within Essex County Council’s boundaries without facing parking fines.
They cannot use them in Southend, Thurrock and some London boroughs that border Essex.
The amnesty has been brought in due to delays in renewing badges for some drivers, following changes in how they are issued.
