The PARC shop
A charity is using its first shop to train young people and raise money for its work.
PARC, which runs a play and resource centre for disabled children in Great Notley, charity outlet opened its doors for the first time last week.
It aims to give young adults with and without disabilities the chance to achieve an NVQ in retail.
Money raised from sales of donated items will also help towards its work.
Kim Alliston, finance and fundraising manager, thanked Braintree District Council’s MI Community Fund, the Council for Disabled Children’s Sustainability and Innovation Fund and Essex County Council’s Big Society Fund for their support.
Anyone who wants to volunteer or donate items to sell should call 01376 321216 or email shop@parc-essex.co.uk.
