Braintree: No official appeal from Oakes
David Oakes has not lodged an official appeal into his conviction for double murder, it has been confirmed.
Oakes was found guilty by a jury last week for the murders of ex-partner Christine Chambers and their two-year-old daughter Shania.
The Crown Prosecution Service and the Court of Appeal both confirmed today that they have received no notice of an appeal from Oakes.
