The steady closure of pubs across Braintree could damage neigbourhoods and leave communities without a hub, according to concerned customers and publicans.
The Kings Head in Bradford Street is the latest location to face closure, after a pub by the same name closed in Coggeshall Road earlier this month.
Both sites are owned by the brewers Greene King.
The Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) are concerned about new figures showing that 16 pubs close down across Britain each week.
