Rowing parents caused a scene outside a Braintree secondary school.
Police were called to Alec Hunter Humanities College, Stubbs Lane, as tempers flared between a man and woman.
A number of PCSOs and officers attended the scene shortly after 3pm last Thursday.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “There was a man and a woman involved in the dispute.
“Officers arrived and calmed the situation down.
“The officers left after 30 minutes and no one was arrested.
“It was a dispute amongst parents.”
