Braintree: By election called after three councillors resign Braintree: By election called after three councillors resign

Braintree will head to polls this Spring after three councillors resigned.

Councillors Claire Sandbrook of Great Notley and Braintree West, Stephen Sandbrook of Braintree South and David Messer of Braintree East have stepped down after moving out of the area.

The by election will be held on March 15.

Polling cards will be sent to the 15,900 registered electors in the three wards on February 15.

Anyone who does not receive their polling card by February 21 can contact the council on 01376 552525.

Please voters elect a Cllr. That will devote 100 % of their time to his or her electorate and say goodbye to these ghost councillors that we have never seen since the last election.
There are more of them hiding we should get rid of them as well.
