Braintree: MP- "No more A120 deaths"

AN MP has warned another A120 death would be “unacceptable”.

Witham MP Priti Patel will be meeting with Essex county councillor Tracey Chapman, who is cabinet member for Highways to discuss longstanding concerns over the safety of the A120.

The meeting at 2pm on September 20 at Essex County Hall, Duke Street, Chelmsford, is expected to be well attended by concerned residents who live alongside the A120.

Ms Patel said: “Lives are being lost on the A120 and that’s not acceptable.

“Something has to be done."

"Unacceptable"? What a strange choice of words. When has any death on any road been "acceptable"? Rather ironic that the Cabinet Minister for Highways is called Tracey Chapman. Wasn't Tracy Chapman's biggest hit called "Fast Car"?
