Schoolchildren jumped on their bikes to raise money for a school trip to France.
About 45 year six pupils from St Michael Primary School in Braintree worked as a team to cycle the distance from Braintree to Berck-sur-Mer where they will stay on their trip.
The group collected more than £400 towards the £2,200 total that they have raised to fund activities for their trip in June.
French teacher Briony Betteridge said: “It was a really good event.
“We have raised enough to pay for sand sailing, a theme park, a water park and a trip to a French bakery.”
The pupils also plan to host a car washing event and a cake sale to go towards the trip.
