Witness appeal for A12 "UFO"

An appeal has been launched to track down witnesses of a possible “UFO”.

Mysterious lights were spotted between Witham and Kelvedon on the A12 one wet evening in 1980.

Shane Wood said: “It was a damp night with drizzle.

“There wasn't a lot of traffic about and all of a sudden the clouds seemed to part, and red lights forming the shape of a triangle or diamond appeared.

“The middle seemed hollow and the thing pulsated."

How come it's taken over 30 years to appeal for witnesses? Don't fancy their chances much. I thought I saw something similar very early one morning on a country lane near Billericay. Red triangular lights high above - turned out to be a huge lorry taking a short cut. Felt a right divvy

30 years ago on a damp dark drizzly night someone saw what he thought were mysterious lights. Which were probably an aircraft of some sort.

30 years later he's short of a bob or two and wants his 15 minutes.

'Nuff said.

Course, we could all get our tin foil hats out and give Mr Wood a call...
