Proactive villagers are determined to see their only pub re-open.

Terling residents are currently in discussion with developer Stephen Webb over the future of the Terling Inn.

Mr Webb has delayed the submission of his planning application to consult with the Pub Working Group, which was set up by concerned residents.

When he recently met with the group, they talked about possible options for the pub, which has been closed for a number of months.

One idea was to have a pub, restaurant and function suite, along with six bedrooms, a manager’s suite, 38 parking spaces, but no housing.
