Protestors are urging people to use their vote in the local elections to stop the bus park development.

Members of the Stop! Campaign hope voters will elect members of the new cabinet who will listen to their concerns.

At a meeting on April 11 councillors voted overwhelmingly against a motion tabled by councillor Eric Lynch to hold a new consultation into the development.

The majority instead voted to refer the Stop! Campaign petition, which held 1,326 signatures, to the newly elected cabinet for discussion in June.
