Knights taxi drivers
Taxi drivers want double yellow lines to stop “innocent” motorists being fined in a no parking zone.
Staff at Knights Taxis in Guithavon Street, Witham, claim the current clearway restrictions on the road entrap people who think they can park there because it is not clearly marked.
The 70 yard one way stretch used to be marked with double yellow lines but Essex County Council changed the restriction to a 24 hour clearway with a no waiting policy which is marked on signposts.
