Child cyclist in collision: Man charged with drink driving

A driver was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a collision with a child on a bike.
The road crash happened in Bicknarce Road in Danbury at 11.50am yesterday.
Police were called to the scene and the child was checked over by paramedics but did not need to go to hospital.
A 63-year-old man from South Woodham Ferrers was arrested and has now been charged with drink-driving and driving without due care and attention.
He will appear in front of Chelmsford magistrates on November 24.
