A group of illegal Malawian immigrants have been found living in Braintree.
Last Wednesday, the UK Border Agency's Suffolk and North East Essex team raided a car wash in Colchester.
They arrested a 34-year-old man, who was a failed asylum seeker, and two other men, aged 22 and 36, who had overstayed their visas.
The officers then raided the men's shared accommodation in Victoria Street, Braintree, where they found a 29-year-old woman who had overstayed her visa as well as the 34-year-old wife and ten-year-old daughter of one of the car wash workers.
They also found evidence of another Malawian woman, who had been working illegally at a care home in Braintree.
The 26-year-old woman, who had also overstayed her visa, was arrested.
