Sex industry job adverts are to be banned from Jobcentres following public outrage.

In May, Braintree residents were shocked to find a webcam job advertised at the town’s Jobcentre Plus in Fairfield Road.

The £100-per-day role involved talking dirty and posing nude or semi-nude in front of a webcam.

On Monday, the ban was announced by the Minister for Employment Chris Grayling.

He said: “It’s absolutely wrong that the Government advertises jobs that could support the exploitation of people."
