Majestic scrap metal birds will look down over a new recycling centre.
Artist Ptolemy Elrington created the giant owl, sparrow-hawk, kestrel, woodpecker and a tree-creeper for the centre in Springwood Drive, Braintree, which opens on July 30.
Mr Elrington used metal found in Essex, much of it cleared from the site.
The Shalford recycling site will close permanently on July 29 at 5pm.
