Dunmow: Mum and daughter take over pub

A MOTHER and daughter have taken over a town's oldest pub.

Dunmow pair Judie Miller, 52, and Frankie Miller, 25, are the latest licensees at The Maypole in Thaxted.

They renamed the pub after the town's May Day festivities and morris dancing tradition.

Frankie said: “I’ve been working with mum for several years now and we are still the best of mates. "We’ve got a sixth sense for knowing what each of us is doing at any moment, which makes us a great team. Mum’s got the creative eye, while I focus on the logistical side of running the pub."
