A Witham model has teamed up with Rio Ferdinand to star in his latest venture.

The Manchester United and England defender phoned Victoria Moore out of the blue to ask if she would appear in #5 - the magazine he launched earlier this year.

Miss Moore, 21, jumped at the chance and, after appearing in the October/November issue, she had a photo shoot in London on Monday for a Christmas issue which she will appear in alongside other glamour girls.

Miss Moore, a trained make up artist, grew up in Witham's Humber Road estate.

She hit the headlines in July after a belated 21st birthday trip to Las Vegas ended up with her being spotted in a nightclub and being handpicked to feature in a Playboy calendar.

She said: “Rio just phoned me and said he had read my story and he’d love to do a feature on me for his magazine.

“He was really nice. The theme for the issue was music so I posed with a guitar that belonged to Noel Gallagher and had been smashed up.”

After being spotted by Playboy in July she stayed at Hugh Hefner’s Beverly Hills mansion in August for a week.

“It is massive, I had seen it on TV but didn’t realise how big it was. It has a zoo and an aquarium, it was crazy,” said the former pupil at John Bramston School, Witham.

“There was a film crew and women walking around everywhere. Heff and his girlfriends were really nice.”

Next year the Essex model will be returning to America to become a Benchwarmer girl. Benchwarmers, according to Miss Moore, is a craze sweeping the US, and is trading cards with pictures of attractive women on them instead of footballers, for example.

Asked whether she ever worries what people will think of her glamour modelling she said she would never go topless in the UK and her nan was “pretty cool” about it, which was what mattered most to her.
