Kelvedon: Two more trains for music festival

Let the train take the strain.

National Express East Anglia is providing extra train services for the Kelvedon Free Music Festival.

On Saturday music fans are being advised to avoid traffic jams and congestion – by taking the train to the popular event.

NXEA will operate a normal scheduled Saturday timetable, with additional services stopping at Kelvedon for festival-goers.

The last train from Kelvedon to Colchester will leave at 1.16am and the last train from Kelvedon to London will leave at 22.40pm.

The festival is a community event featuring local talent and there will be street entertainers, a craft fair and a barbecue, as well as the Battle of the Bands.

Jackie Gibbs, National Express East Anglia’s Head of Customer Service Northern Region said: “We want to make festival-goers travel experience as simple as possible, leaving them more time to enjoy all of the events the festival has to offer. It sounds like a great day out.”

For train times call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.
