A mother is confident more awareness will be raised about goalpost safety thanks to an online video.
Brenda Smith has campaigned for tougher safety laws on goalposts since her 11-year-old son Jonathan was killed when an insecure goalpost fell on him.
A video highlighting the issue of goalpost safety has now been produced and is available online.
The tragic accident happened in 1991 and Mrs Smith, of Tees Close, Witham, has explored every avenue possible over the past 18 years to try and get legislation introduced to help prevent similar incidents.
She has written to the Football Association, a host of politicians, the media and even royalty in the past, to push her campaign.
In March she worked with Union of European Football Associations (Uefa) to help produce the video.
She said unsafe goalposts are a global problem and after legislation was introduced in Australia in 2005, she wants to see the same in Britain.
"Hopefully now the message will reach a wider audience," said Mrs Smith, who wrote to Uefa president Michel Platini, about her campaign.
Paul Woloszyn, deputy editor of Uefa’s training ground website, put together the video and said the order for the piece of work came from the top in Uefa management.
