At the annual meeting on October 6, the following were elected: president Mrs M Holland; vice-president Frances Hynds; chairman Diane Denny; vice-chairman Peggy Swallow; secretary Veronica Chopping; treasurer Violet Kemp; committee Carol Smith, Sylvia Delnevo, Mrs K Steele, Mrs M Hardy, Greta Short, Mrs E Cooper; press reports Miss V Hooper and Eileen Gray.
After the business was concluded, members enjoyed a quiz and a game of bingo.
The competition for the “cutest cuddly toy” was won by Sylvia Delnevo, and the tea hostesses were Coral Saich, Mrs M Hardy and Mrs A Farrow.
