Chairman Wendy Bartholomeusz welcomed two new members to the meeting and the club celebrated the golden wedding anniversary of Alan and Joyce Hale.
Members congratulated Peter Whitman for gaining first prize for his roses at the autumn show.
Speaker for the afternoon was Nick Miers, who told the history of Bletchley Park, the home of the code breakers, and the vital work achieved there during the war.
Christmas cards and raffle tickets will be on sale at the next meeting and the annual coffee morning will be held on November 1, in the Memorial Hall, from 10.30am until noon.
