A POPULAR restaurant which has served the community for more than two decades has announced its closure.

The Quay Fish Bar, in Great Notley, has announced it will be closing after 24 years.

The business said it is closing due to the lease being up, with the landlord having a buyer for the property.

It also revealed the new tenant will still be serving fish and chips.

Alex Truong, of Quay Fish Bar, took to social media to announce the news.

He expressed his gratitude and thanks to all the loyal customers who have supported Quay Fish Bar over the years.

The site will close on April 7.
