HUNDREDS of job seekers attended an event held by Braintree Council last week.

Some 350 keen job hunters attended the job fair at Witham Public Hall, in Collingwood Road, on March 14.

The event was organised by Braintree Council and the Government’s Department of Work and Pensions.

During the fair, there were over 30 exhibitors made up of businesses and training providers from Essex, such as Essex Police, the East of England Ambulance Service, Stansted Airport, and Catapult Cell and Gene Therapy.

“Whether you’re looking to begin your journey into the working world or to change your career path, there are a wealth of opportunities available, for those at entry level to apprenticeships and those already with qualifications.”

Following the successful job fair, the council hopes to hold another event this autumn.
