A DISCO extravaganza is heading this way for a spellbinding 'Halloween Thriller'.
Greatest hits machine Miss Disco is back in Braintree after headlining the hugely successful Festival in the Gardens in May for the second year in a row, where the disco champions delivered a blistering headline set in front of a packed crowd.
Disco diva lead vocalist Susan Pinky and her long-time bandmates will perform a breathless set of non-stop dancefloor anthems by the genre’s biggest icons, such as Chic, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Gloria Gaynor, Earth, Wind and Fire, the Bee Gees, Odyssey, the Real Thing and the Jacksons.
Having performed together for many years, Miss Disco’s line-up is responsible for highly acclaimed performances at major festivals and events such as Glastonbury, Heritage Live, Standon Calling and the Cambridge Club Festival, among many others, earning the group their reputation as the very best and most experienced disco revue in the UK today.
Between them the seven-piece group can lay claim to recording, performing and touring with an incredible array of stars, including Amy Winehouse, Take That, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Kylie Minogue, Human League, Soul II Soul, Westlife, Jamie Cullum, Beverley Knight, Dame Shirley Bassey, Dionne Warwick and Rose Royce, amongst dozens of others.
Audience members at this year’s Halloween gig are encouraged to attend in suitably ghoulish fancy dress.
Miss Disco drummer Warren Terror said, “Our Halloween Thriller in Braintree last year was an absolute scream, so we’re looking forward to doing it all over again this, only bigger and better than ever.”
Susan Pinky added: “We can’t wait to be back in Braintree for our Halloween Thriller.
