A TOWN post office is set to close at the end of the month.
Masefield Road Post Office, in Braintree, is due to shut its door later in January.
The Post Office confirmed the news in an official statement.
A spokesman said: “We can confirm that Masefield Road Post Office off Challis Lane will close on Tuesday, January 31, at 5.30pm.
“We want to apologise for the inconvenience to our customers.
“However, Braintree Road Post Office is located less than a mile away and is open Monday to Saturday between 8am to 5.30pm.
“Also located nearby is Jubilee Oak Post Office which is open Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm and on Saturdays between 9am and 1pm.”
