Witham Town caretaker boss Tony Last has tipped striker Cody McDonald for big things.
However, he has warned rival clubs pursuing the youngster's services that he will not be allowed to leave on the cheap.
McDonald was outstanding in Town's 2-1 victory over Aveley in Ryman League division one north last weekend, scoring one and making the other for Julian Edwards.
And he was on target again last night, as Witham were beaten 4-3 by Redbridge.
Last thinks McDonald can go a long way in the game.
However, the player is under contract.
Last has insisted Witham would not stand in the player's way if he chose to move up the non-league pyramid.
But he stressed that any move would have to be right for both player and club.
Last said: "He's getting back to his best and he's an outstanding young talent.
"We would not stand in his way if a suitable offer came in.
"It would be a feather in the cap of Witham Town Football Club if Cody went on to do well in his football career.
"He's loving his football at the moment."
Town play their final home league game of the season on Saturday when play-off hopefuls Ware are the visitors to the Spicer McColl Stadium, Spa Road.
Town's final league game is at Ilford on April 26.
