A MAN was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a reading showed him to be almost four times the legal limit.
Officers were called to assist Essex Police - Uttlesford District with a road traffic collision in Dunmow.
It was reported there was a crash in which a van left the road and went into hedges.
The driver was breathalysed at the scene and provided a roadside reading of 134mcgs of alcohol per 100mls of breath - nearly four times over the legal limit of 35mcgs.
The driver was taken to the hospital after the accident as a precaution.
