A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital after a five vehicle collision near Coggeshall this morning.
Police were called to the scene of the accident, on the A120 near to Holfied Grange, at 7.40am.
The five vehicles involved were a black Audi A4, a grey BMW, a blue Ford Fiesta, a blue Vauxhall Astra and a silver Yamaha motorbike.
The incident happened on the Colchester bound carriageway and traffic quickly tailed back to the Marks Farm roundabout.
Paramedics had to check over three patients but only the motorcyclist was taken to Colchester General hospital.
