Hundreds of people and plenty of puppets descended on Witham town centre on Saturday for a day of fun.
The Witham Puppet Festival saw activites take place at the Grove, the Newlands Centre, in High Street, the Cofunds car park and the library.
The day followed a 'wild and wonderful' theme with dragons, flamingos and robots all making an appearance.
Mark Squire, Witham Town Council clerk, said: "It was a fantastic day, we had huge crowds of people come along and the weather was lovely.
"The crowds were just as big as last year - there were three performances of Titan the Robot which was very popular.
"It was just a great family day out."
