Employees of a high-tech electronics firm were treated to a day on the high seas to celebrate record breaking sales.
Staff from Atlantic Microwave Ltd, which is based at the Springwood Drive Industrial Estate, Braintree, visited Maldon where they boarded Sail Barge Kitty.
After lunch on board, the vessel sailed down the River Blackwater and Osea Island before heading back to the quay.
Geoff Burling, the company's managing director, said: “We’ve had a great year selling Satellite Test Equipment and RF Microwave Components and Cables to companies around the world.
"“I wanted to thank everyone for their efforts in making this possible.
"So I thought a trip on Sailing Barge Kitty would offer us a unique opportunity to see the workings of a Thames Barge, plus give us all a chance to enjoy and reflect on our success.
"It was a memorable day, enjoyed by all."
