Police are appealing for information after a biker was seriously injured in a crash.

The man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after his bike and a black Vauxhall Vectra collided in Dunmow.

Officers were called to the scene at the junction of the B184 and Canfield Road, in High Roding, on Thursday, August 30 at around 5.50pm.  

The motorcyclist's injuries are not believed to be life-changing while the driver of the car was uninjured.

No arrests were made.

The road was shut for around three hours and reopened at around 9pm.

PC Mark Burey from Chigwell Roads Policing Unit said: “This was a serious injury collision and our enquiries into this are ongoing.

“We would appreciate any information from witnesses who we have not yet spoken to.

“You may have some dash cam which captures the impact of the collision, or possibly the two vehicles prior to or after the incident.

"If so, please contact me.”
