POLICE are treating five burglaries which saw cash, a wedding ring and an iPad stolen from homes as being linked.
Four addresses in Hatfield Peverel were broken into between Sunday, August 26 to Monday, August 27 with three of the homes in Maldon Road.
The fourth property was broken into in Ulting Road and officers are linking the incidents to a fifth break-in in Boreham.
Jewellery and cash were stolen from the house in Ulting Road, Hatfield Peverel, between noon and 10.30pm on the Sunday.
Meanwhile, a mobile phone was stolen from a home in Maldon Road sometime before 7.30pm and a wedding ring was stolen from another home in the same road between 11.50am and 5.10pm.
A third home in Maldon Road was also found to have been broken into sometime between the Sunday and Monday.
Finally, a silver Apple iPad was stolen from a house in Main Road, Boreham, sometime between 10.45am and 5.15pm on the Sunday.
Burglars smashed doors at three of the addresses to get inside.
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously, or any suspicious vehicles, in these areas around the times of the break-ins.
They also want to hear from anyone who was in the area and has CCTV or dash cam footage.
