A children's charity has thanked the supporters which help it continue its good work.

Parc Essex, which is based at Great Notley Country Park, supports children with additional needs by providing play and respite opportunities for them and their families.

In order for it to continue this work the charity relies on kind-hearted members of the public, many of whom have personal experience of the centre.

People like Dave Green, who along with friend Matt Rudd, took on a skydive to raise money for Parc.

Mr Green's son has been attending Parc for the last three years and the family have come to rely on the charity.

At the end of July, Craig Budd, whose son attends Parc's under fives session, took on the London Prudential Ride, raising £1,600 for the charity.

Managing to complete the ride in six hours and 50 minutes, Mr Budd braved the hot and wet conditions to reach his target time.

A spokesman for Parc said: "We are extremely grateful for the help and support they receive all year round.

"It is particularly special when the charity is being supported by parents who have been able to benefit from Parc first-hand."
