BASILDON United are into the preliminary round of the FA Cup following a 2-0 win at Stowmarket Town.
Basildon took the lead midway through the first half. Brian Moses found the net to out Marc Harrison’s team in charge.
And the same man got the second in the second half to send the Bees into the next round.
Hullbridge Sports will join them thanks to an injury-time effort from Nathan Scarborough, winning 2-1.
Sports found themselves behind after 18 minutes and it was a well worked goal that put Gorleston in charge.
But they were to turn the game on its head in the second period.
Ollie Sotoyinbo scored from the penalty spot inside the final 10 minutes before the same man crashed an effort against the underside of the crossbar.
And the same man was involved in the winner, crossing for Scarborough to net the winner.
However, Southend Manor were beaten by FC Romania in the first round as their journey in the competition came to an end.
The final score was 3-1.
