Dozens of classic vehicles are set to park up at the Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens during a special fundraising event.

Organised by CL Classics, the car show takes place on Sunday, September 2, at the Bocking End beauty spot.

The show will feature an eclectic mix of the old and the new, whilst also providing plenty for the whole family to enjoy with inflatables, games and refreshments.

Lisa Cameron, of Cl Classics, said: “We are aiming to have between 90 and 100 vehicles.

“It will be a mixture of all different kinds, although this year we have a lot more bikes coming along.

“There are American cars, a lot of Fords, MGs and things like that.

“A lot of people are returning but there are also a lot more new exhibitors.

“Some of them attended last year and decided they wanted to come back and show their vehicles.

“It is exciting for us and we are not as stressed as last year because we know a bit more about what we are doing.

“It is a long day for the organisers, as we will be there from 7am until 7pm but it is all about getting people in to the public gardens.

“We want people to use them and also help support them for future generations.”

A range of food and drink stalls, including a licensed bar and barbecue, will also be available on site.

Live music will be performed throughout the event.

Entrance costs £5, with tickets only available at the gate. Under 12s go free when accompanied by an adult.

All of the profits from the event will be donated to the Braintree and Bocking Gardens Trust.

There is still space for more exhibitors to take part in the event, if you are interested contact CL Classics on 01376 320590.

If there is severe weather over the weekend the show may be cancelled.
