A brave 11-year-old whose mum fought off breast cancer had 12 inches cut off her hair to help sick children.

John Bunyan Primary School pupil Kathleen Fisher was first inspired to raise cash for the Little Princess Trust after her mum was diagnosed with the deadly disease in 2014.

In 2015 she raised £800 by cutting her hair for the charity, and on Tuesday, July 10, she braved the chop again to help cancer survivors.

Tracy Fisher, Kathleen's mother, said: "She did the same thing in 2015 and has been growing her hair since then.

"I am more nervous she is doing it this time.

"I am very proud of her for doing it."

So far, Kathleen has raised £230, which will be donated to the Little Princess Trust along with her hair.
