A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and criminal damage after police were called to a home in Witham this morning.
Two police cars were spotted outside the address, in Hatfield Road, after a call was made over concerns for the welfare of a woman.
A witness reported seeing four officers at the address before a man was led away from the house.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called just after 8.55am this morning, Thursday, June 21, after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman.
"Officers attended an address in Hatfield Road, Witham, and arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of theft and criminal damage."
