A housing association has teamed up with a sports club to offer free cricket sessions over the summer holidays.
Greenfields Community Housing and Essex Cricket in the Community are offering 30 lucky youngsters and their parents the new chance to join the weekly "all-stars" class.
The first session takes place on Tuesday, July 24, at Glebe Hall, in Glebe Avenue, Braintree, between 11am and 12noon.
Children between five and eight can sign up to play and parents are also being encouraged to volunteer to help.
All residents are welcome to apply to take part.
All those taking part will receive a free kit with a backpack, ball, bat and personalised shirt.
